Gemini

Gemini: Gemini is one of the 88 modern constellations and is associated with the twins Castor and Pollux in Greek mythology. It lies between Taurus and Cancer, and is visible in the winter skies of the northern hemisphere.
Stars and Objects: Gemini contains many bright stars, such as Pollux and Castor, as well as variable stars, binary stars, and multiple star systems. It also hosts several open clusters, planetary nebulae, and a neutron star. The Geminids and Epsilon Geminids are meteor showers that peak in December and October, respectively.
History and Mythology: Gemini was described by Ptolemy in the 2nd century AD and has been associated with various cultures and legends. In Babylonian astronomy, it was linked to Nergal, the god of the underworld. In Greek mythology, it represented the twins Castor and Pollux, who were the protectors of sailors. In Chinese astronomy, it was part of the White Tiger of the West and the Vermillion Bird of the South.
