Antlia

Antlia: A constellation in the Southern Celestial Hemisphere that represents an air pump.
Origin: Established by Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille in the 18th century to honour the invention of Denis Papin. Latinised to Antlia pneumatica and later shortened to Antlia.
Visibility: Completely visible from latitudes south of 49 degrees north. Bordered by Hydra, Pyxis, Vela, and Centaurus.
Stars: Has 42 stars brighter than or equal to apparent magnitude 6.5. The brightest are Alpha and Epsilon Antliae, both orange giants. Contains several binary and variable stars.
