Pisces

Pisces: A large and dim constellation of the zodiac, located between Aquarius and Aries, with a symbol of two fishes connected by a cord.
Notable stars: Alrescha, the brightest star, marks the knot of the cord; Van Maanen's Star, the closest solitary white dwarf; and Gamma Piscium, which hosts an exoplanet.
Notable deep-sky objects: M74, a spiral galaxy with star-forming regions; NGC 488, a prototypical spiral galaxy; NGC 520, a pair of colliding galaxies; and CL 0024+1654, a massive galaxy cluster that lenses the background galaxy.
Mythology and history: Pisces originates from Babylonian and Greek legends involving fishes, cords, and the goddess Aphrodite. It was subdivided into four parts by Johannes Hevelius in the 17th century. It also contains the point of the March equinox, where the sun crosses the celestial equator.
