Pavo

Pavo: A constellation in the southern sky that represents a peacock, first introduced by Dutch explorers in the late 16th century.
Stars: Pavo contains several bright and variable stars, such as Alpha Pavonis (Peacock), Beta Pavonis, Delta Pavonis, Lambda Pavonis, and Kappa Pavonis. It also has six stars with planetary systems, including HD 172555 with evidence of a recent interplanetary collision.
Deep-sky objects: Pavo is home to NGC 6752, the fourth-brightest globular cluster in the sky, and NGC 6744, a spiral galaxy that resembles the Milky Way. It also has several dwarf galaxies, such as Bedin I, IC 4662, and IC 4965.
Meteor showers: Pavo is the radiant of two annual meteor showers: the Delta Pavonids and the August Pavonids, both associated with comets.
