Equuleus

Equuleus: A faint constellation located just north of the celestial equator, meaning "little horse" or "foal" in Latin.
Stars: The brightest star is Kitalpha, a yellow star of magnitude 3.9. There are few variable stars, such as Equulei and R Equulei. There are some double and triple stars, such as Equulei and Equulei.
Deep sky objects: Equuleus contains no notable deep sky objects, only some very faint galaxies, such as NGC 7015 and NGC 7040.
Mythology and history: Equuleus is associated with various myths, such as the foal Celeris, the horse struck from Poseidon's trident, and the story of Philyra and Saturn. It was created by Hipparchus and included by Ptolemy. It is also part of the Chinese constellation Black Tortoise of the North.
