SkyMap was featured on the “Wall of Live Tiles” at the Windows Phone Mango event

As you may already know, a few days ago, Microsoft announced  the new features that will be included in the next Windows Phone OS release (code named Mango). The event organizers showed a wall of live tiles, and the SkyMap application was one of the apps displayed there!

We didn’t attend to the event, but we found some images on the internet. SkyMap was displayed on the 2nd line, 3rd column:

We are very excited about the new features announced for the Mango release (over 500 new features!). One of the features - the compass support for applications - is extremely important for our SkyMap application, as it will allow us to finalize the point to sky feature (currently in beta in SkyMap 1.2).

Microsoft has also released a beta version of the developer tools for Windows Phone Mango, and we are already considering using some of the new developer features for our future releases (post Mango).
